I was incorrectly diagnosed (many years ago) with clinical depression and medicated accordingly. More recently it has been discovered I actually have bipolar disorder and am now being medicated correctly.

I am NOT ashamed of my mental illness, with family and friends however, I don’t tell my employers or hire agencies because of the stigma attached with being a ‘mental case’.
