This valuable initiative was founded in April 2018 by four Adelaide based business women that share similar values of hope, love, kindness, and empathy.
Healing Through Love’s vision is to shift awareness on Domestic Violence within the Community and support survivors regardless of gender, sexual identity, race, age, culture, ethnicity, religion, disability, economic status or location.
In May of 2018, Healing Through Love held its inaugural Pamper Day.
The goal of holding the Pamper Days is to help as many survivors of domestic violence in our community as possible by increasing awareness and offering advice on services available to them and their family members. We also want to raise much-needed funds for women’s shelters to assist those women who find themselves homeless or displaced due to domestic violence.
The event offered women the opportunity to enjoy many free services such as massages, facials, makeup, hair styling, and personal styling. There were various services represented on the day that also provided advice on legal and financial matters.
DOES Biz was an integral part of the Committee which was responsible for the successful event. Feedback was overwhelmingly positive with the event organised within 6 short weeks and attracted over 30 sponsors and exhibitors, and more than 100 attendees. The short time frame was made possible through the ability to keep the Committee on track with actions, record keeping, and technological support systems.
